These terms govern your use of the PoorHouse Kava Bar website and services. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Age Requirement

You must be 21 or older to enter and use this site, visit our venue, and consume our products. The age gate remembers your confirmation for 30 days. Misrepresenting your age is a violation of these terms.

Botanical Products Disclaimer

We serve botanical teas including kava, kratom, and other herbal blends. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you have a medical condition or take medication, consult your healthcare provider before consuming our products.

Alcohol & Substance Warning

Do NOT mix kava with alcohol. Combining kava with alcohol may increase the risk of liver and kidney damage and other serious health effects. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery if you feel impaired after consuming kava.

Service Policy

For your safety and the safety of others, we will not serve kava or other botanical products to any visibly intoxicated person. We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

Accounts & Registration

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • One account per person. Don't share your login or create multiple accounts.
  • You're responsible for all activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or disrupt our services.

Games & Events

  • Participation in games (trivia, bingo, etc.) and events is voluntary.
  • Prizes, if any, are subject to availability and may be changed or substituted.
  • We reserve the right to disqualify participants for misconduct, cheating, or disruptive behavior.
  • Game results and scores are final. Our game host has the last word.
  • We may modify game rules, formats, or scoring at any time.

Communications Consent

By providing your phone number or email address when registering an account or signing up for our mailing list, you consent to receive communications from PoorHouse Kava Bar, including:

  • Event reminders and game notifications
  • Promotional offers and updates
  • Account-related messages

Message & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

  • SMS opt-out: Reply STOP to any text message.
  • Email opt-out: Click the unsubscribe link in any email.

Ordering & Delivery

  • Online ordering is handled by third-party platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Kaja Payments). Each platform has its own terms of service and privacy policy.
  • Menu items, prices, and availability are subject to change without notice.
  • We are not responsible for delivery issues, delays, or errors caused by third-party delivery services.
  • Refunds for orders placed through third-party platforms must be handled through those platforms.

Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including text, images, logos, branding, graphics, and code — is the property of PoorHouse Kava Bar unless otherwise noted. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our content without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

This site and its content are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, PoorHouse Kava Bar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, participation in events, or consumption of our products.
